Crochet 101

Have you always wanted to learn how to crochet? Or have you been away from your hooks for a bit and need a refresher? Join us for an intro to crochet class with Michelle. You'll learn the basics, like the chain stitch and single crochet stitch. 

Sessions are held each month -- select the date that works for you.

Class Level

Absolute beginner! Or, you've crocheted in the past but are looking to brush up on your basic skills. Students must be 14 and older to enroll.  

Class Content

• Holding the hook and working yarn
• Slip knots and chaining
• Getting the right tension
• Working the single crochet stitch (SC)
• Single crochet stitch anatomy
• Turning and fastening off -- keeping your work straight
  
• Helpful handouts provided for practicing at home

Materials

Please bring the following OR students can enjoy 10% off if you purchase your materials at the shop. (Please be sure to shop early so we can begin the class on time.)

• Worsted weight yarn -- light, solid colors are easier to see and work with. 
• Crochet hook in size 5mm or 6mm

Class Policy

To receive a refund, a class cancellation must be made prior to 72 hours of the start time. To transfer or cancel your registration, you must contact High Tide Fibers before 72 hours from the start time.

Classes may be canceled or rescheduled for insufficient registration. In that event, you will be offered a refund or the option to transfer to another class of equal value.
