High Tide Fibers: For knitting, crochet, spinning & weaving.

We are a modern yarn shop & creative clubhouse inspired by our picturesque coastal surroundings and vibrant community. We curate beautiful yarn and tools for knitters, crocheters, weavers, and spinners who value color, creativity, and sustainability.

We care deeply about the people, plants, and animals that contribute to everything we offer. You can feel good about everything you purchase at our shop. We work with local makers, indy dyers, and standup companies who care about their craft and the people who use their products.

Community is everything. We work hard to create a welcoming and supportive place for crafting and connection -- for beginners and experts alike.

It takes a village. We pay our staff and instructors fair, livable wages. Whether you are taking a class or shopping with us, you can tell that our team takes their responsibilities seriously AND they have a lot of fun, too!

Theresa Kaskey, Owner

Hi, I’m Theresa! I live in Rehoboth Beach and boy do I love to knit (and crochet, and weave, and spin). My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was just a kid, and though I didn’t keep up with it back then, I later rediscovered just how satisfying it is to make something with your hands and build your own hand-made wardrobe.

These crafts can be anything you want them to be – relaxing, challenging, purposeful, a creative outlet, a fun hobby, or a meditative practice. And you truly can make anything – clothing, homegoods, pet clothes, wall art, gifts.

If you see me out and about, I often have a project with me. And just about every time I knit in public someone says to me, “I’ve always wanted to learn to do that!” It gives me so much joy to teach others. I’ve taught children, adults, and worked with women in recovery to help them learn a new skill and healthy habit.

I love to share these crafts, connect with other makers, inspire newbies, and offer products that I know you will just love.

Stephanie, Shop Associate & Class Instructor

Stephanie is an associate in the shop and we are so happy to have her! She is a fiber artist, loves helping customers, has a keen eye for design, and loves all things fiber — she even set up and ran a knitting factory in Brooklyn. In her spare time she weaves, makes bags and quilts, spends time with her dog Tuna and loves to be out on her motorcycle.

Katey, Shop Associate

Once a nurse, always a nurse—just using yarn needles for now while she's home with her young children. Katey is a local maker who loves to crochet and is slowly but surely learning to knit. She loves to share the tips and tricks she has learned along the way and help anyone who comes into the shop find exactly what they are looking for.

Michelle, Class Instructor

Michelle’s specialty is crochet. She took a beginner crochet class in a small, local yarn shop in New Jersey, and that started the obsession! Since then she has crocheted a wide range of projects, including blankets, baby sweaters, wraps, scarves, cowls, and ponchos. Michelle has mastered many advanced techniques, like mosaic, brioche, tapestry, and intarsia crochet. She is also a pattern tester for a UK crochet designer, Helen Shrimpton, for whom she edits patterns and tests out her gorgeous, textured designs. Find Michelle’s work on Ravelry: craftymaffy.

She loves teaching others to crochet and spreading the joy of this craft! Michelle teaches several of our crochet classes: check them out!

Randi, Class Instructor

Randi is a lifelong learner and educator having worked as a music therapist, social worker, and Preschool Director. Needle crafts were a part of her life from an early age and she got back to knitting about 12 years ago. Her local knitting store in New Jersey became a part of her life from taking numerous classes to sitting weekly with other crafters at their open table. Upon retirement in 2021, Randi worked and taught classes in three different New Jersey knitting stores and continued to craft with others and teach at OLLI upon moving to DE in 2023. Randi knits every day and loves sharing her passion with others, whether helping beginners, crafting baby blankets, hats and sweaters for gifts, knitting for charity or finding creative ways to use her stash.

Diane, Stitch Doctor

Diane is our resident stitch doctor and holds sessions where knitters can drop in for help with their projects. She has been knitting for 60 years, and dabbled in all the crafts at times. She became a serious knitter before her first child was born, 36 years ago, going to yarn stores for real wool. Diane continued learning from the Knit List, an early internet list. She enjoys doing test knits and samples (check out her samples in the shop!), and usually has about 4 WIP’s going, and always a pair of socks. You can find her on Ravelry as D4obrien
