Fall Wheel Spinning Retreat

Join us for our Fall 2026 wheel spinning retreat! You'll learn how to use a spinning wheel to make your own yarn, including tips, techniques, and lots of time to practice under the guidance of your instructor, Marina. 

Spend an afternoon in the shop with us and your wheel. (No wheel, no problem! We can find you a loaner.) In addition to expert instruction and guidance, we'll provide you with beverages, snacks, and lots of good company as you enjoy a day of spinning.

Class Level

Beginners are welcome. Students must be 14 and older to enroll.  

Techniques We Will Cover

• Reviewing the parts of a wheel
• How to care for your wheel
• Fiber options
• Treadling
• Drafting
• Twist
• Working toward consistency (or not!)
• Plying

Materials

Plenty of fiber will be provided which you can take home with you after the retreat.

Class Policy

To receive a refund, a class cancellation must be made prior to 72 hours of the start time. To transfer or cancel your registration, you must contact High Tide Fibers before 72 hours from the start time.

Classes may be canceled or rescheduled for insufficient registration. In that event, you will be offered a refund or the option to transfer to another class of equal value.
