Fall Weaving Retreat

Join us for our Fall 2026 weaving retreat! Have you been fascinated by the loom in the shop and wondering how you can learn to weave your own fabric? This class is for anyone wanting to learn the basics of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. You'll learn just that from Stephanie as you weave your very own scarf. 

Spend an afternoon in the shop with us and your loom. (No loom, no problem! We can find you a loaner.) In addition to expert instruction and guidance, we'll provide you with beverages, snacks, and lots of good company as you enjoy two days of weaving.

This class meets over the course of two days:

• Saturday, December 5th, 4:30-7:30pm
• Sunday, December 6th, 4:30-7:30pm

Class Level

Beginners are welcome. Students must be 14 and older to enroll.  

Techniques We Will Cover

• The parts of a loom and how they work
• Caring for your loom
• Weaving terminology
• Warping your loom
• Sleying the reed
• Basic weaving patterns and techniques
• Working toward smooth edges
• Finishing techniques

Materials

You will need your own warp and weft fiber. Please inquire with the shop about quantities and content needed.

Class Policy

To receive a refund, a class cancellation must be made prior to 72 hours of the start time. To transfer or cancel your registration, you must contact High Tide Fibers before 72 hours from the start time.

Classes may be canceled or rescheduled for insufficient registration. In that event, you will be offered a refund or the option to transfer to another class of equal value.
