Description
Tussah Tweed from BC Garn is a 100% silk with fine tweed neps and a very interesting stitch definition. It is processed from the cocoons of wild butterflies allowed to flee the cocoon before it is processed into silk, making it cruelty-free. Tussah Tweed is very stable and feels a bit rough at the beginning, but gets softer and softer the more you wash and wear it. For this reason, it is not only suitable for hand knitting, but also for crochet, weaving, or embroidery.

BC Garn is the home of natural and sustainable yarns that actively contribute to a environmentally conscious and ethical fashion industry.
The Danish company BC Garn was founded in 1972 by Bo Carstensen, who comes from a long line of weavers. The focus has always been on developing yarns made from natural fibers in a wide range of colors. In spring 2018, Marianna and Bo handed over BC Garn to Britta and Carsten Kremke, who vowed to continue on in the tradition of its Danish founders.
